What you're looking for a comparable sales to list on your application to reassess the value with the assessors office. These are very simple to get and FREE!  In recent months there have been several companies soliciting homeowners and charging a fee to file this form with the county assessor.

Call us and we'll provide you with the comps free of charge and even provide you with the form that you need to petition the county assessor for a change in your tax base.

Visit http://www.ForSaleByMaria.com or send an email to rene@stressfreeclosing.com for help.

Zillow doesn't give appraisals or give market values, but they do have Zestimate number. You can go here enter the address in the Find Homes box and hit the blue GO button. If Zillow has one for the house, a map will come up for the area. Click on the address box to get to the home page with even more information about the neighborhood, recently sold houses and charts. You will need 2-5 of those recently sold comps for houses similar to yours to make a good case to the assessor. Showing the drop in your Zestimate will not be enough to prove your case for reassessment. Zillow adds new houses as they compile information so if you don't have a Zestimate yet, they may in the future. If you need more specific information about your house value, you can contact a local realtor for a CMA or hire and appraiser to help you. There are also nice local realtors on the board that are willing to help.
