You can post your house for free on Zillow & other sites via Postlets (a Zillow company) here www.postlets.com

Or you can purchase a Featured listing on Zillow here www.zillow.com/rentals

Rather than use a Realtor, you can claim your home on Zillow (see "claim" under "edit" on the property details page).  Once you've claimed it, use the "post for sale/rent" in red on the left side of the property details page.

Here are more details.

(Please note, should you chose a Realtor, you may be paying ~10% of your rent to said Realtor)

Its under the homes drop down menu.
If your looking for maximum exposure I would utilize a Professional Realtor.

Good Luck!

In my opinion, the best way to rent your house is to contact a local Realtor. Listing your rental with a licensed Realtor will ensure that you have someone to represent your interests and handle compliance with housing regulations. Your listing will appear in the MLS along with many other sites, including Zillow. If you have any other questions please post them.
