How to deal with clients wanted work from you yet claim to be working with an agent?

How do you handle the constant stream of people who request work from you, yet start off by saying they are already working with an agent. How do you deal with clients like this?

How to handle them?  Very carefully and assess each situation one by one.   Remember they are your potential client and can also talk with all their friends/relatives.  A negative interaction is spread probably 10x to 100x more than a positive interaction.    Most of us have learned that is we don't say we have an agent, we get the hard sell.  Do they really have an agent?

definately tell them to call their realtor and tell them you will be glad to get the information over to their realtor. Then thank them for their interest.
