How to file complaint against house inspector in California

Inspector seemed to be sincere but content of his report indicates that he was expert in electrical installations but not in plumbing. He missed several plumbing issues such as water stains on the kick boards in the kitchen, leaking main valve in the guest bathroom, leaking gasket in master bathroom etc. House inspector was selected to do the inspection by the dual real estate agent who represented both seller and buyer.

If he clearly stated he was not expert in plumbing, that could let him off the hook for plumbing matters as it could be an indication that a separate plumbing inspection would have been a good idea.

Was the inspector a member of CREIA or NAHI? You could possibly approach them if so, otherwise your recourse may be a private suit, possibly in small claims court. I would strongly advise you to get legal advice if you want to pursue this.
