How valid are your listings?

I ask this questions due to you have a home listed at 2322 Bobtail Cutoff Libby, MT 59923 that is inaccurately listed. The home does not have a clear title to be sold and it list two dwellings and their is only one dwelling on the property. In order to have a clear title the buyer will have to clear the cloud on the title by compensating additional owners not listed on the deed but listed on a lien filed in Lincoln County by the deeded owner identifying three other people as legal owners, The additional owners will not release the cloud from the title unless they are compensated financially for their interest in the property. Youcan view the property at:

welcome to Zillow.

The property link you provide goes to a property that is not listed for sale or rent on Zillow, although there is a remnant in the description suggesting it was for sale at one point and mentions the two.  Approximately 100 million properties in the US are present with public data, and a Zestimate.   For the average property, the descriptions are pretty generic.  When a property has been listed, unless the agent removes the words the description says whatever the agent said.

The general data come from county records.  Listings (for sale/for rent) come from agents (or owners if FSBO).   ZIllow doesn't vet the data, but does offer the opportunity to report errors (find this option under edit on the home details page)

Since there is no county data posted, and no price history indicated (including for-sale and make-me-move), it appears that someone claimed the property, posted photos and details and a short description, and then unclaimed the property.

It could be it was done just to see if a Zestimate would be generated.

Anyone can claim any home on Zillow; they just need to know the owner's name listed on the title.  Zillow tries to minimize false claims; but the only way is for people to report problems when they are noticed.

It also could have been an autofeed from another website that someone already reported a problem with, thus removing the listing and the listed price; but leaving the home details record.

Anyway, it sounds like it is a family issue that can't be resolved nor assisted by any 3rd party website nor casual observers.

I hope you get the issue resolved with the others involved and that peace results between those involved.

Gosh this sounds a lot like a post from someone with an ax to grind against the owner of this property. Not a very nice thing to do no matter what the situation. Zillow does not take into account any liens or encumbrances including mortgages, tax liens, mechanics or construction liens etc. on any property.

No intelligent buyer should buy any house or property without a title and escrow process unless they like to gamble with large amounts of money. Going through escrow and title means that the buyer will get the property free and clear. You can also opt to get insurance on the title if you opt to do that.
