A Windstorm Certificate is required to obtain Windstorm Insurance most
of the time.
It is always a good practice to contact the local windstorm inspection office
before any roof repairs or replacement work is done.
If they are not directly involved you will be required to hire one of the windstorm approved engineers at the cost of at least $250 and they submit
your roof after they inspect and certify same.
