Since agents cannot post a link to self promote I would recommend looking in the forums and seeing who seems to be knowledgeable. From there you can read their reviews etc. Pick a few that you like. Call and speak with them about the market and what goals you have in mind. A good agent will be able to explain the market trends and assist you with putting together an investment strategy that will obtain your goals. It is critical to include a purchasing strategy as well as an exit strategy in your investment plan. Once you have a solid plan in place your agent can help you execute your plan.

Best Regards,
Robert Adams

Ditto on Michael's comment.  Just b/c Zillow is showing it as pre-foreclosure doesn't mean it is for sale.  They take feed from other sources which consider a home "pre-foreclosure" if a borrower is behind in payments.  If you want to a purchase a home as a short sale (when borrower is underwater and usually behind on payments) then look for agents specializing in short sales.

Make sure you're working with a Realtor who has experience buying foreclosed properties.  Then tell them you want one.

Just because it's marked 'pre-foreclosure' on Zillow doesn't mean the home is actively listed by the owners. Find an agent in your area who can check to see if the home is actually for sale.

Make sure you find an agent that has a tract record of working with these types of properties.Good reviews and designations do not always equal experience.

I would be happy to help. There is only six weeks of inventory on the market so we will need to talk about an effective strategy. I have a great lender that I have worked with for over 18 years if you don't have one. My partner is a licensed Realtor also. I look forward to talking with you. Thank You Suzie Marquardt

I would highly recommend that you check out Zillow Premier agents and read their reviews. Then contact several and interview them over the phone to determine their qualifications. You may also consider meeting the top qualifiers at their office for a more in depth determination.
