The city of Pineville is dry. This means that it does not allow the sale of alcoholic beverages within the limits of the city. Alexandria, which is the larger town across the river permits the sale, as does all of the surrounding part of the parish. The town of Pineville only consist of about 12 square miles.

Typically, that means that you can't buy alcohol there. Not sure about drinking stuff you buy elsewhere (i.e., next county over).
I've heard Pineville is in a "dry" county. What exactly does that mean?
