Unfotunately, you would not be considered a first-time home buyer. The definition of a first-time homebuyer is anyone who has not owned real estate within the last 3 years.

If you have not owned a real property is the past 3 years you are considered a first time home buyer for the special loan programs.

I've owned a vaca home in the past, but never a prim res. Can I still qualify as a first time buyer?
