Usually people have a trusted list that they have used and can give to you. Also, knowing information whether you are in windpool, flood and other things helps to direct people to insurance

first check with who you have your car insurance with.. you usually get a discount when you have ALL your insurance in one place.. otherwise, i would suggest going online and comparing prices..
