I'm reviewing a pre foreclosure property. And, want to know the best approach of getting information

I have a call into a foreclosure agent, and waiting to hear back. But, is there additional avenues to determine property availability? ie someone directly connected with the property.

Thanks for the input. Both responses were helpful in leveraging either the broker or engaging an agent to obtain additional information on the property. I've reached out to a buyer agent but will do that in parallel with seeking the assistance of the broker.

Thanks again.

These banks place the properties on the market with the Realtors they've picked. The best way to know the status of these homes is by contacting these brokers directly. They'll know more than any other brokers. Good luck!

One way is to contact another Realtor (Buyers Agent) to get the information for you.  A Buyers Agent will not only help you get the details of the home but they will also  represent you in the transaction.  A Buyers Agent is very important due to the fact that they will make sure you get the best pricing and also makes sure that you get all the inspections done on time.  They help you through the whole process and make it less stressful on you as the buyer.  The best part is that most of the time the Buyers Agent works for you as the buyer for free.  They get paid from the agreement from the seller and their listing agent to pay them for bringing a buyer to their home.

Hopefully this was of some help.

Pre-foreclosure properties are the trickiest properties to buy.  They are not on the market at this time, although may be in the future.   Zillow has a section on buying a pre-foreclosure.
