I recommend you request comparable market analysis (cma's) by a few different top agents in your area to help determine your home value.  Typically someone who has many signs or a great reputation in the area can help you best.

Hi Ladybug, Zillow is a great starting point to gather data and information about your property but these local agents or a local appraiser are a great resource to get you to the next level. Since these were the first agents to respond to your question, you may want to follow-up to get a CMA or appraisal to determine the closest to market value of your property.  I am not an agent, I am an employee of Zillow and here to help from that end if you need.  Thanks.

What is the reason for your request?  Are you looking to see?  An appraisal will give you the true value and a CMA will give you an opinion on what an agent thinks they can sell your home for.  An appraisal is truly independent where a CMA might be somewhat biased depending on the agent.

Hi Ladybug,

The very best way for you to find out your property value is to pay for an appraisal or have a qualified Realtor provide you with a comparable market analysis. An appraisal will cost you $450 to $500, having a qualified Realtor produce a comparable market analysis will cost you $0.....Don't miss understand the value of a Realtor. We don't work for free always, but; many times when a person is looking to re-finance a home we get ask about value.
You can call me or email me Ladybug and I'll gladly provide you a comparable market analysis. It will be accurate and pertinent to today's market. No obligations! Let me know.

Sincerely,

Terry Hughes

it's probably best to ask an agent for a CMA.  you can use the directory on zillow to search your town or zip code and see the lists of agents there then if you wish to look at their profile you can.   You can click to send them an email message or many will have their phone numbers published.

there is always the zestimate but it's not quite as accurate as a human that can look at your property and recognize adjustments and special situations that exist.

FYI,.,.
A CMA is a Comparative Market Analysis.  It is not as extensive as an appraisal and shouldn't be considered a replacement for one but it is a good way to get an approximate value based on a professional opinion.
