Your easiest choice is to simply Google "real estate - 55+", and also insert the city you'll be targeting.
55+ is also a criteria search-able in most MLS's.

Cindi said it best. When looking for Senior Communities - you will want to link up with an agent who is very knowledgeable about these homes. In any given city there will be a few different types of senior housing.
Those which are resale properties and not run by a corporation. In Fullerton look on Ford Ave and Brea Blvd.
There are properties which are semi-assisted and you purchase a unit - but these do not cooperate with brokers.
There are properties which are fully assisted - like Morningside - and have condos to villas - but you will need to visit them in person and talk to their in-house sales staff to get more information.
I know a lot about this housing as I am trying to get my grandmother to move closer to me.
Best of luck in your search.

That would be a great feature for Zillow to include in the search area. You can have a Realtor set you up with a program such as MLS Listings, Listingbook or their own website that will send you out listings that are in a Senior Community. A few public sites like Realtor.com has a search option including Senior Communities under their more extensive search area. There are some great Realtors located hear on Zillow that would be able to help you! Best of luck!
