Searching on Google will help you get ratings for schools. Then start looking for homes in these areas. An agent can help you but have an idea of where and what you want.

I used to teach in Torrance, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach. Also at Loncg Beach University... now I am a Realtor. My focus is "Finding the Right Home for You and Your Family". I know the area well and the schools! I have tons of friends who currently teach all through out the South Bay. Contact me with your goals and I will lead you down the right path for your family. Good Luck!

You should consider the beach cities (Redondo, Manhattan or Hermosa) or west Torrance. All have great schools. Go to my website for school information www.jerrycarew.com

Discuss with your real estate agent what is important to you in finding a house. One of those concerns is to ask to be shown properties only in the school district that you desire.

I think there certainly are good listings, check with a local real estate expert.

you will need to look up what a good school district is on a website not affiliated with a Realtor and then tell the Realtor what school district you want to be in

It's against the law for an agent to "steer" you to or from neighborhoods or schools for any reason. Steering is against Fair Housing laws but what your agent can do is provide you with sources such as crime statistics and parent discussions (or you can search for those, yourself) so you can make that judgment for yourself. www.greatschools.net is a great source but there are others, as well. Good luck!

Hi there, there are tons of great listings in the Torrance area. What area are you most interested in (South Torrance, West Torrance, Old Torrance, etc.)? Vis-a-Vis school districts, Torrance Unified has a 9 out of 10 rating, which is great as you can imagine. The Torrance Unified School District has 17 elementary schools, 9 Milddle Scholls and 6 High Schools. My little brother is a product of the Torrance Unified School District, he went to South High and is now going to UCI and majoring in Chemical Engineering. So good schools, absolutely!

Find your prefered school district or maybe 2, find yourself an agent you feel good about and hopefully you are in a position of non urgency so you can wait if something is not immediately available. Of course you need to see if you can afford the homes in the area of interest. Your agent can certainly keep you abreast of the prices and direction of the market.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Sure! You can get school ratings from this website..www.GreatSchools.com. This site rates elementary-High School. The Wiseburn School District is an excellent district in Torrance.
