I am needing to find a home inspector or someone who is willing

Profile picture for livinsloher
to look at all my work that I have had to get done or what is still needed. I purchased this home without inspection and taxes are way too high and so if I find someone who can put my home problems down on paper then the tax assessors office said she will lower my tax bill. I will end up losing my home if I don't get this done and I can't imagine where me and the children will go. She said formal inspection and I am unclear of who that is? Please someone respond. My home is in Murrieta, CA

I agree with Mike and strongly suggest a licensed contractor.  A specific one I have used for years (home inspector and licensed contractor) is Calspec Home Inspection - Tim.  He knows his stuff and holds a General Contractors License so he can inspect all aspects of the home.

He only gives you assessments and not bids for work which is what you want.  I hope this helps!

You can run a google search of local home inspectors. You can also go to any local realeate office as agents work with home inspectors in your area.

Check out the directory of "Other Real Estate Services" in Murrieta, CA. on this website.

If the Inspector is a licensed contractor they can provide repair information and estimates which the assessor will likely need.  Make sure that they are not bidding on the work though.  The inspection can not be objective if the inspector is soliciting repair work.
