Hi there! There's no fee to post your home on Zillow. Simply go to www.Zillow.com and enter your home for sale! As for marketing your home without being 100% done...I would recommend not showing your home until it is 100% ready to go. You'd be surprised how little buyers actually want to choose....they want it all to be done most of the time. For paint, choose a neutral, but light, color that will appeal to the most people. However, I would go ahead and put a sign out and take RESERVATIONS for the future....that way you build curiosity (people want what they cannot have). You could also schedule an open house, and when that day comes, call all interested parties 2-3 days in advance and invite them - you might just get an offer on the day of the open house because lots of people will create a sense of urgency for buyers!
Happy selling -

Don't start advertising until you are 100% ready. Here's a good FSBO blog. http://rockinblu-rockinblu.blogspot.com/2009/02/ive-got-my-fingers-crossed.html
Yes, there is a fee to post for sale on Zillow. $39.95 for 180 days. The Zillow FAQs are an excellent spot to start for general use and understanding of Zillow.

Congratulations on preparing to touch up your house before selling. You also should search and read some articles about FOR SELLERS such as Staging your home, Home Inspections, How much is my home worth?
Good luck and Happy selling.

Buyers today want move in ready. If you stick with neutral colors, you will be fine on the paint selections. Buyers have so many choices on the market right now, a move in ready home makes a lasting impression over others that are not, so take the time to have the painting finished and
your home in tip-top condition!
Good luck!
