More detailed info can be looked up by any real estate agent with access to the MLS. Note that old tax record square footages can be wrong (and low) on older historic homes that have been renovated and updated.

If it doesn't show in the listed info, I don't believe it's possible to dig further on the zillow site.
Local tax records are a reliable source. Individuals can find the info by going to city hall. Any Realtor has this info easily accessible through a database.
