I am very interested in this home. I was wondering the status of it... is it still available?

Is it available?  I understand it to be a short sale?  How long has it been on the market?  How many banks/lenders are involved, etc to estimate how long it may take to close? I need to be able to close on a home as soon as possible.  I have been preapproved and have my down payment.

Good Afternoon,

601 Backbone Mountain is indeed a short sale. Unfortunately, there are several offers on this home. It has been listed since February.

Short sales can take anywhere from 30-90 days for bank approval plus an additional 30 days to close. In some cases, this process can take longer. If you're looking to close asap, I would recommend skipping short sales, as there is no guarantee how long the process will take.

I would be happy to find some similar, non-short sale options for you. If you like, you can also search for homes on my website:

Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any additional questions or if I can do anything else for you.

Actually my husbabnd and I have had a offer in on this house for over 2 months and really have heard nothing. Instead of having the sellers accept an offer and send that to the bank; the listing agents just let other offers come in. We offered well over asking (when the house will appraise for much less then asking)  This realty company is very inconsiderate and think of no one but themselves.

We recently put in an offer on a different short sale and the sellers accepted our offer, house came off of being active and is with the bank. We are hoping to close within the next 4 weeks. You have to be careful what type of realtors are the listing agents on shortsales.

Good luck!!
