$25K on what appraised value (understanding this was back in May 2011). If the appraised value was $100K, then that represents a 25% error. At $250K, it represents a 10% error. At $500K, only 5% error. Not having all the relevant information can lead to faulty conclusions.

The answer is that zestimates are notoriously unreliable with very bad data management in how it imports the zillions of records from 3rd parties. It then processes all these errors and omissions with a unproven algorithm and produce garbage valuations that they call zestimates. As the saying goes " garbage in, garbage out"

As a past Professional realtor and a CHA,I also know a house is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, at 250K, whoever brought my house would be getting alot more than price I am asking. You must see it to truly appreciate it. Call me sometime [phone number deleted by Zillow moderator.]

Whats your point? That your home is not valued as it used to be? Look into Zillows Frequently Asked Questions, if it is about the value of your property, Zillow only gives a zestimate. As a professional realtor in North Carolina, I value a property from the mls or use an appraiser to find out how much a home is worth.
I bet you have lost alot of followers, tell me it isn't so.
