Because title shows the last transfer for $250,000 on 9/9/2009.
On 7/27/2010 there was a grant deed transfer, no amount disclosed. Zillow, as well as Trulia.com, etc, lists the last transfer. Best to talk to your escrow company who handled your purchase....

That's odd that it still says that after almost 5 months. If it bothers you, you can call zillow customer service and have them fix it. I'm not sure how zillow pulls that kind of data.

I hope this error would be corrected or it may bring the zestimates for the immediate neighborhood down a little.
You might need to ask your agent or escrow officer to check and fix the public data that was recorded when you bought the house. I think Zillow's last sale and tax data are from there.

I bought this house for 500000. Why does Zillow say I bought the house for 250000?
