I found a home I love. Is there any way to find out who the builder is?

If it is a new or relatively new house, you may be able to get the information from the real estate agent involved in the original transaction.  Otherwise, you should be able to find out who the builder was by doing some research at the building department.

The local building department may be able to tell you who pulled out the original permit. That might be a good place to start. If it is a neighborhood, you might ask a couple of neighbors if they know who built the houses. Often, you can get good information that way too.
