truthfully, zillow needs/wants traffic to the site. Whether you're coming to ask a RE question.......or complain about your zestimate.....it's still traffic and they benefit from it!
You will be told by zillow that the zestimate is "only a start"...........you can read their text explaining it as well as claims they are working to improve it.........it is what it is............... you are not alone in your displeasure.

I understand the need to use an algorythem in the absence of facts, but I do have facts and the fact that Zillow doesn't take real appraisals into account is a weakness and is promoting inaccurate information. Too bad...it could actually be a reliable tool, but they choose not to be.

Bottom line - you can't get zillow to adjust your zestimate, even with a brand new appraisal in hand.
The best you can hope for is to claim your home.....make sure any factual information is correct..... and then make any comments about conditon or updates.
Chances are, unless there are incorrect room counts, or absolutely wrong information, the zestimate will remain the same. In any event, it can take weeks or months before a change might occur. (don't hold your breath).
The zestimate is the result of a "computer-generated mathematical algorithm"! (that's a mouthful, isn't it??).....it's a "guess" with the computer making the guess based on public records......
Don't let it upset you........

Go to your house and claim it as yours and then you can adjust the amenities and features.
That may help some but Zillow is not the final word.
Appraisers use the MLS and Tax Records to get a proper appraisal they don't use Zillow

I had my house appraised and the zestimate is way low! How do I get the correct info on the site
