I have a friend who is interested in a lease option to buy my home.

She wants to get out of her neighborhood (it has a lot of renters) and I need to upsize due to a growing family. She won't get as much for her home (due to current market conditions) so this would let her save up a little more for a down payment before she would buy my home. It would help us unload our house w/out having to pay a realtor. We both would have separate attorneys, have a home inspection and get an appraisal. Does anyone have any advice?

If you have a purchaser and attorneys, it will be costly but they can handle it for you.

You might be surprised that it may cost more than an agent? Hourly attorney fees times two may be more than you bargained for. Often, agents will take a discount on the commisson, if you have a buyer in hand. Maybe even a flat fee in your area?
