I have access to waterfront in my deed. One of the neighbors built a dock on this "shared" access a

Sorry it didnt post right - he is not allowing my children access to the lake saying I have to pay a dock fee to access. It is in my deed so I want to make sure this is not allowed before I hire an atty.

I can't offer legal advice, but if it is officially deeded access to your household, he shouldn't be able to deny the access.   Sounds like time to first discuss this with him face to face in a gentle manner to work out what is up and to understand his position, and then (if necessary) talk to a mediator or attorney.

But he cannot charge us for access to this property now correct?  He won't let my children over by the lake.

Locally a similar event happened.  The one who built the dock had to remove the dock, but it took a lot of lawyers to come to this conclusion.
