I have had a sewage back up twice, Is property management liable for damages to caused by mold ?

The property manager took 16 days to start clean up of sewer water that over flowed from shower, toilet. They had carpets cleaned, bleach sprayed on walls and painted over.  It took them 4 days to clean carpets only on first overflow,  Mold was found in closet, carpet, furniture, shoes and clothing, from second overflow. What recourse do I have to get my property cleaned? What are they legally responsible for? Is my lease voided?

Sounds like you might want to move. If you have a renters insurance policy, take a look at what is covered regarding water and or mold damage to your personal property. They pay you to move to a hotel while it is being repaired.

Landlord's insurance covers their property only.    Renter's insurance covers your material possessions.     A landlord is not responsible for your property for fire, flood, tornado, sewage backup or whatever.

Maybe contact your local municipalities including DHEC.
