Gary, did you just file or has it been dispersed yet? You do know that your creditors can come after you for most property (such as a car and/or $15k in cash) right?
I hope you are working with an attorney.

The minimum time frame for obtaining a loan after a Chapter 7 BK is 2 years from date of discharge and to up to 4 years depending on loan type. You may find an owner willing to carry financing or do a 2 year lease option..

I just filed a chap 7 bankruptcy but wanted to buy a home in PS. Will I be able to get a mortgage?
I did not bankrupt my car and have 2 yrs of excellent credit with it. Please email me at GaryDinCA@aol.com if anyone can help me get a home loan. I saw a home I wanted to purchase that's listed in the 170's. Have about 15k to put down as well.
Thanks,
Gary
