Try the records room that has recorded all the information on the property. There's something on everything built out there at the cities record room. Try calling the planning department too. They may be able to assist you there. Thanks

You can request a permit history from the Permit Department (at Alameda City Hall, bottom flr) which will not only tell the year in which it was built, but you'll be able to determine what improvements have been made and assess whether there are any outstanding code violations which would need to be remedied prior to the sale
