cp,
I'm not soliciting your business. I only do Jumbo Loans in CA. SoCal gave you two good resources. I have several on my website, plus a complete step-by-step explanation of exactly what the entire loan process entails. ....Happy funding, Rudi

When I was first trying to get up to speed, I found this site here to be quite useful and informative. In addition, you might check this site from the Federal Reserve Board. As with anything where you are a consumer, get and compare info from multiple sources.
And, if you are looking for info on the home loan process, the last thing you need is a realtor. There's a reason that realtors market houses and loan officers handle loans.

The first thing you need is a Realtor who you know and trust. If you don't know one, ask a friend or relative who has recently sold or bought a home if they were satisfied with the service they received. If yes, ask them for a referral to their Realtor. This Realtor will have worked with home loan professionals throughout your market area, and they know who will do the best for you. If you have any further questions feel free to ask me. Happy house hunting! Lorraine

You can start with where you currently bank. Call or go into the office and ask about a loan to buy a home. They'll explain what you'll need to do.
You can get a start by collecting your financial information such as your bank account balances, credit card balances, payroll checks, etc.
Good luck!

You need to contact a local lender in your area & make an appointment to talk to a loan officer. He/she will tell you what is involved & whether with your credit score & credit history, you can qualify for a mortgage loan & for the amount of loan you can qualify for.

I need the basics explained to me about getting a loan to purchase a home. First time home buyer!
