A release or satisfaction of mortgage needs to be filed in your county court house. The lender should have sent that to you. If not write to them and ask for a copy. You should also keep a copy in a safe place along with other important documents like insurance and deed.

You should have been issued a release of the mortgage and will want to file it with your county records.
