I recently purchased a home and it is not updated on Zillow. How can I correct this on your website?

I recently purchased my home and had it completely remodeled, adding a full bathroom and another bedroom. The price has been updated on the website, but not the upgrades. The website is still showing it as being for sale and a handyman special in need of a roof. Who can I contact in order to have this information corrected and get a more accurate estimate?

If the house is still listed for sale, the first thing to do is get that removed.  Often listing agents "forget" to remove the listings (or don't know how to).  Therefore, open the property details page, scroll to the bottom and look for the listing website hotlink.    Click on it, identify the agent and identify the listing website.  Contact the agent and ask them to get it off the listing website within 3 business days (copy their broker).

Once it is released, you can claim your home, edit the data and change the description.  The Zestimate may respond to the new bedroom and bathroom but be patient. It takes several weeks to several months.

Here are the relevant FAQs:

What is a Zestimate?

Please be aware that Zestimates don't reflect upgrades and condition (such as a new roof).  It does include the last sales price as part of the calculation so handyman specials often have quite low Zestimates and catch up over several years.

I hope you are enjoying your new home.
