it was very nice but totally not worth the zestimate. the block isnt very pretty, not many trees, lots of traffic, other houses on block need major renovation, lack of closet space, basement not waterproofed.

I did see the house and the master bedroom closets are tiny walk ins. the master bedroom isnt super spacious so i can understand why owner didnt make huge closets. bedrooms are decent sized but not big. the basement is nice but it isnt waterproofed, and I think thats a mistake in Merrick or if you're doing plumbing eventually (there isn't any now). The basement is dry because it's north merrick but I'mstill a big fan of waterproofing finished basements to prevent problems later on. I thought it was a nice house, just not worth the price. For the same price (at the time Zillow said $800K and the house was $750K) I could buy a smaller but equivalent home in South Merrick. And frankly, I didn't like the block. I have three kids and there was alot of through traffic to Merrick Ave. I like small streets, dead ends and cul de sacs. I prefer north/central merrick because you get more house for the money but this was a very expensive house and I just didnt think it was worth it. and the taxes were obscene.

You never saw this house, because you would know there is no traffic at all, and the basement is completely and prof finished -also there are more closets (including custom walk ins) then you'll ever dream of. Besides - I sold the house months ago bonehead!!
