this is an old post but since kickadoo revivied it, I can see it wasn't answered.

I searched this address...it isn't listed right now on zillow, it looks like it wasn't listed when you asked this question last month.  Zillow is like a nationwide county record database, you can see basic information on just about any house, zillow adds to the public information their own "zestimate " of the value but that doesn't make it "listed"   it can be confusing at first glance and maybe there is a suggestion needed for zillow to cut down on this confusion.

@Kickadoo.
I disagree.  not sure anyone is "very concerned"  about craiglist- it's a great resource.  lots of agents use it to supplement their advertising, and since advertising is only a small part of an agents repsonsibility...it's not a threat.  the solicitor calls you get after using craiglist are annoying but craigslist isn't to blame for that.   there is even another site out there called backpage which looks exactly like craiglist...you see many houses listed there too.

as for homes listed on zillow that aren't for sale...sometimes there are homes that were listed that weren't updated to sold or expired or off market.   that is unfortunate but also not unique to zillow- agents need to be more responsible with taking care to finish their advertising (or be held accountable) so when you see that- flag it.  If you see it and don't flag it, then you're contributing through passiveness.

To save time and a fee many more buyers and sellers are using craigslist.

Realtors dislike craigslist and cite scams as the reason. But many homes listed on zillow are not for sale--so is that a scam?

MLS is very concerned about the growth of craigslist as are many realtors.

If a home is 'on Zillow', it doesn't necessarily mean that it's for sale. Zillow has homes that have been sold, that are for sale - or that have simply been 'added' to Zillow by their owners.

To find out more about a specific home, you might want to check with a Realtor in your area.
