Use the "local info" tab at the top of the page to find out what the real trends are in the specific location. Make sure you look at all the trend charts, especially the upper and lower tier Zindex trends. (Don't forget, that each of these can also be downloaded as Excel data files for further calculations).
Also, do a search of the area using the "homes" tab at the top of the page, and set if for "recently sold" (clearing the "for sale"....), to find out what is really selling rather than what the agents want you to believe.

Well, at least you make it sound more reasonable. I guess the timing was just so close, one would asume that they would be connected. Thanks for the info, I'll check again in a month or so to see if the zestimate changes again, and hopefully for the better. As far as any foreclosures, I'm not sure. The local area has been reporting as one of the few that are not in decline given the influx of new residents due to a BRACK military move. But Zillow sure hasn't reflected what the local government and real estate agencies have been quoted to say. Still appears to be some disconnect.

That would be disconcerting. A bit of background, I suspect (as an outsider) that two things are going on here:
1. Zestimates are usually updated 3x a week . Therefore, I suspect the change in the Zestimate you see is the routine 3x a week update. (Why -7%, I can't comment, perhaps Z picked up a foreclosure in their comps even though they attempt not to do that).
2. When one edits facts it takes time for the Zestimate to respond. The last one I monitored was 8 weeks. Another poster saw a response in about four weeks. So, if you edited yesterday these edits are not yet part of the Zestimate.
