If it states "report a problem with listing", then the property is already listed; and the listing agent is the one that has control of the info on the home details page, unless you listed it on Zillow yourself.
Anyway, if you need control of the home details page, you need to chose "report a problem with listing" under the edit pull down tab, and select the appropriate sub option, and give the reasoning.
When I click "report a problem with listing" on my home details page, and click the down arrow for the "problem" box, the first item down is "incorrect owner claim". (I use a different profile for posting than the one associated with my house to provide an additional level of privacy. It also lets me test things like this quickly.) Selecting that would allow you to claim the home with your present profile, and then you would be able to edit anything on the page (except county provided data such as tax amounts, and Zillow estimate..)
Obviously, the person you reached at Zillow is newer, as this procedure is well known by people that have been on the site for awhile.

well...I downloaded a new version of explorer, ( it is recommended by zillow) no luck...I didn't think its a browser problem anyway, but wanted to be sure. when I go to listing, signed in of course, pull edit tab, the only options it gives me is "report a problem with listing" or " post to craigslist" same thing the rep saw when she went under my profile and tried it herself...I would think since the zillow rep had same problem, that there's something going on with the site, like my computer geek son said "if the web designer set it up right in the first place, we wouldn't be talking about the browsers" lol I have to laugh before I pull my hair out, been at this all day now :/

What browser are you using? Google Chrome is known to have some issues with the editing on the home details pages.
You might try FireFox, as the website seems to work best with that.
(And just because no one else has a legal right to claim your home on Zillow doesn't mean someone won't do it. Mine was taken from me 4 times by others even though already claimed by me. All they have to do is properly identify the property owner on the title from a very short list. Fortunately, they don't release present ownership claims carelessly now).

Let's continue with our detective hats on, this Zillow system can be tricky (i.e. not always intuitive) but it isn't impossible.
As I can't look over your shoulder when you are at your computer and I know you don't want to share your address on a public forum so I can look.... what DO you see on the drop down menu for the "edit"?
For example, if it listed I see the choices of "report problem with listing" and "post to craigslist" . If claimed by someone else I see "report problem with home". If I click on "report problem with home", a little box pops up and one of the choices in the "report problem" is incorrect ownership claim
While we are at it, which browser are you using? I'm most successful with Firefox or IE with some of this ZIllow tricks. Chrome, Safari and AOL browsers can be troublesome.

Yes it was a Zillow sales rep,"wrong ownership claim" or "Claim house" does not appear on edit option:/ no one else should have a claim on this, legally. Its listed by owner and could not figure out why it was even on here until I talked to the sales rep and she told me where to find that info.
I had originality e-mailed them, the first time, almost a week ago to help me remove this listing because I don't want any hidden fee's and the info was incomplete. After a couple of more e-mails over the past week, I set up an account trying to edit the info until I could get to the bottom of this, been trying to do this for two days now, don't know what the problem was yesterday, did the same thing today & it worked, well almost, still cant edit. ...one of the web sites its listed on did a listing on here?!? Don't know why or how, I didn't pay for this, I did not even realize that I had this and it really doesn't make any sense, that listing is over a couple of months old and it says on my listing here, 8 days!?! :/
Thanks for your honest concern, I appreciate the help and without the smart @-- comments, its been a crazy week for me all the way around, I sure don't need any more B.S.

"sales rep" - is this a Zillow sales rep or an agent for the house? If "claim" isn't showing as an option and you don't have the property listed, someone else has claimed it. Perhaps an agent from when it was for sale in the past who didn't release the claim, perhaps someone else in your family, the possibilities are endless.
What to do at this point is to click on "report problem with home/listing" found in the drop down menu under "edit". Then in the box that pops up chose "wrong ownership claim" and write details to send it to Zillow. They will send you an E-mail when it is released. I suspect it would be joining a queue and may be a few weeks, I don't know, just speculating.
Your current profile says it was created today, so if you've sent numerous E-mails from this profile in very short order, you may be overestimating the staffing at Zillow.

Before you can edit the information, you have to claim your home on Zillow.
To claim the home, look for "edit" under the description on the property details page. Unless you've "claimed" the property, none of the edits you've been attempting to do will stick.

"Insurance replacement costs have nothing to do with present market value" that's why its not listed for $468,000+ Thanks for all your help, it is a problem with the site & not just me, just got off the phone with a sales representative and she was having the same problems;)
I'm so frustrated with the problems, (I have been trying to edit this info for a couple of days) that I did not realize that I posted a question on a public form. I just want my info right or off of here, I have done my research ;)

Insurance replacement costs have nothing to do with present market value.
And a machine generated opinion of approximate market value has very little to do with potential sale price, and most people are already aware of that.
Actually, the way it works, is if the Zestimate is more than 50% off of the list price, the home details page is 4 times to 10 times more likely to be opened to read the details, and there is a place to comment on why the estimate differs from the list price...
And since 22 million unique IP address site visitors use this site in a typical month, that means better potential sales exposure than trying to hide your home and only relying on the MLS.
But to each their own. You don't need to sell, and no one needs to buy, nor even look.

If you have your house listed with an agent you can have your agent pull the listing portion from zillow. Otherwise the rest of the info is pulled from public information.
I want my house off of here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
