Looking at sales of similar houses in your neighborhood in the past 6 months will give you a good idea.

You might want to delete your address for security reasons. Your local Realtor would be happy to give you a free comparative analysis. And if you like his/ her work; you might want to hire them too.

Contact a local experienced REALTOR in your area (heck, call a couple of them) and have them come out and give you a value on your home backed up with some facts. You might just find the REALTOR to sell your home and at least you'll know your homes approximate value.

I am not licensed in Ma. However I can refer you to a Coldwell Banker agent in your area who will be able to assist you very promptly. Maureen Bizub Coldwell Banker , Chatham NJ

A strong agent will assess the value range within which your home can trade in today's market. Given the dearth of listing inventory, value is determined not only by the recent comparable sales but by the price point at which your home logically inserts among presently competing properties. The key is to hire the agent who is the shrewdest negotiator and can help you capitalize on potential competition for your home. 5 of my team's last 6 sales have been for significantly over the asking price.

Find a good, experienced real estate agent in your neighborhood.  If you don't know one, ask family and friends who they recommend, and of course Zillow is a good source for screening agents too.  The agent will do a market analysis of your property and give you a price range he/she thinks the property should be priced in.  Good luck!

Pam,

That is a very desirable area. Was the home renovated at any time during your ownership? If so, you could be getting top dollar.

You need solid unbiased information to make a good decision. If you don't trust real estate agents to provide it, I know I don't, you will have to hire an appraiser to get the information you need to make a decision.

The value of your home is so much more than just throwing a number at you.  There are dozens of factors that must be considered, such as updates, local sales, and more!!!  Determining the number that will sell quickly and hopefully inspire multiple offers takes finesse - It would be an honor to go into more detail with you either via phone or in person. Every success!

The Zestimate of your unit is a bit over $383K. I know that neighborhood well and, statistically speaking, can tell Zestimate is close to what the neighborhood should support in the current market. That being said, I would NOT advise you to market the home price based on any estimates given to you, even by a Pro, w/o actually seeing the unit! You can find my info on [Content removed by Zillow Moderator. Please see our Good Neighbor Policy] if you'd like real in-person market analysis. Good luck!

Hi pamvan12,

The easiest way to get an estimate of the value of your home would be to contact a local agent familiar with your area and ask for a CMA (competitive market analysis) of your home. They will compare similar homes that are Actively for sale, that have Sold and ones that have Cancelled or Expired. They will compare all of these to get you an average/median price for what you can expect for your home. Or a market value estimation. Any local agent can do that for you, ask around with your friends if they can suggest any!

Hope that helped answer your question!

Pam - There's a lot more details to discuss as well as an in person visit by a Realtor to properly assess the value of your condo in today's tight market. It's certainly worth more than you paid in 1993...and possibly in the range of 3x that amount if the assessed (taxed) value is any indication. If you'd like to discuss further, please click on my photo to contact me. Best of luck and hope to hear from you soon, thanks!
