I want to move but I need to know about what I can sell my current condo. Can someone help?

Profile picture for coreyalderin

My family and I want to move because we are running out of space in our current condo.  Curently I think we have enough money saved up to pay the difference and have a down payment for the next house, but I am not for sure because I do not know how much our place is worth.  Can someone give me an accurate (or as accurate as possible) idea of what our place is worth?

My condo is located in Jefferson Park (Chicago) so I would like to have someone who has expeience in this area.

Thank you

Hi Corey,

Anyone of the agents that takes the time to respond here can help you.

Call 3-4 agents, myself included, and then interview in person 2-3 that you felt the most comfortable with.  Those 2-3 agents will (should) bring a preliminary market analysis.

Good luck!

You will be very popular. I have been in the business more than 20 years and work JP as well as all neighborhoods on the North side. My web site gives you some information on the programs I offer both buyer and seller. You should have a few agents do a market analysis to find the likely 'range' of values your condo might be at.If you bought in 2005-2008ish you might not be too happy with the results as I think you probably know. It's been ugly for home values everywhere, but JP seems to have faired better than many neighborhoods.

Contact an agent and have them draw you up a CMA. (comparative market analysis) This will tell you what your property is worth. Interview two or three agents, and go with the one you mesh best with.

I live in that area and know it well.  In addition to being a real estate broker I am a certified residential appraiser.  I'd love the opportunity to talk to you and discuss your situation.  Send me an email or give me a call to discuss.
