The tax credit is 10% or $8,000, whichever is less. If you buy a home of $20,000, the tax credit would be $2,000 if you are otherwise qualified.
I was told that when you buy a home the tax credit is up to$8,000. I am buying a home that is 20,000
Will I receive the full $8,000 or less.
