The sale of a home is part of the county public information records which is where Zillow obtains property sale information on recently sold homes.  "Claiming" your home will not change the fact that the information is listed on the site.

To be able to edit information on your property you have to first claim that the property is yours.

Search for your address and on the bottom under "Home Ownership" click on "Claim your home" - follow the directions to claim it and then you should be able to edit the information on that property. Hope that helps!
