I would like to know who has to pay property tax? the person who is renting the house, or owner?

I would like to know, after renting a house who has to pay the property tax, the person who is renting the house or who I pay the rent to. for example, if i rent a house that is 1000 a month, stated in this website, Do i need to pay more for the property tax? even if it isn't mine?

Thank you very much, now I know its usually them who have to pay it. However, i still have to read very carefully that agreement, i know there are people who try to ''rip you off'' or try to put things that are unfair.

Usually in a residential situation it's the owner themselves that pays the taxes.  In commercial (store/office, etc) situations sometimes the taxes become the burden of the tenant.  Check your lease carefully.  -John

The home owner typically pays the property taxes.

Normally the owner is responsible for the property tax, but you should check your lease agreement.  Landlords throw the oddest things in leases.

I suggest that you read your lease agreement.  If you have questions, you should consult with an attorney who handles residential real estate matters.
