If I close before the end of April, will I be able to ammend my taxes from 2009?

If you close after you file your 2009 taxes you will need to file a 2009 1040x amended tax return along with form 5405 and all the additional documentation necessary to claim the credit. If you have not amended your taxes in the past, pay a tax professional to do if for you. If you screw up it gets kicked back to you and that will delay your check

Or you can wait an collect the tax credit on your 2010 taxes.

The IRS can answer all your additional questions.

This is not a question for someone specializing in loans.

Most have recommended to contact an accountant.

Good Luck.

My best guess would be yes. But again consult your tax consultant for sure.

The only advice on this subject should come from a tax advisor (CPA)
