both Keith and Jeremy are correct... keep in mind, finding the buyer is only step one... now you have to get through the transaction and get the buyer funded... for that your agent will earn their commission... Good luck!

The agent you hired to sell your home is still entitled to a commission unless you agreed to something to the contrary. If they were a good agent, I'm sure they generated a lot of traffic to your home and marketed your property well. I'm glad you found a buyer for your property in this tough market.

Unless,  when you signed the listing agreement,  you had exclusions that would allow you to sell to specific people or some other out in the contract, you will be required to pay the agent if you sell the property during the listing period.  It all depends what was stated in the listing agreement you signed.
