Im a RE agent with listings on Zillow. Is there anyway to change the zestimate to reflect the real

value of the home. One in particular has granite, in ground pool and other quality upgrades that are not considered in your zestimate. If I can not change the zestimate can I remove the zestimate from my listing or remove my listing all together. My sellers are extremely upset about the $50k difference. It looks as though the home is over priced when it is not!

The Zestimate is a great service for buyers and sellers to get a quick ball park idea. However, it is frustrating when people take everything on the internet as accurate truth and don't want to listen to the advice of local experts. I generally try to show consumers a market analysis of recently sold comps so they can understand the true value (whether it's better or worse than the Zestimate).

Why does it matter, your buyers are looking at your listing and the price....if you want you can add something about Zillow and its estimate not being accurate.

You can create your own estimate and post.  Here is the link:  http://www.zillow.com/wikipages/Create-Your-Own-Estimate/

The zestimate is not always accurate, but is a terrific free service to the public.  What a great way to get a general idea of home values in the local neighborhoods.

I wish there was a way to do that.  Zillow is a great system but has one fault with the zestimate.  That is it pulls from all neighborhoods around the property regardless.  So if you have a property that is a 2 million dollar property next to a 200,000 home it will average the two.  When I work with buyers and sellers I explain this to them and help them by doing a real in depth BPO.
