In MA, school districts often wrong

Profile picture for Go Pats

In MA, the school district of a particular home is often in the same town.  When Zillow assigns schools to a home they should be looking for schools in the same town/city as the home not just the closest school.  For example, because I live close to Waltham, Zillow assigns the Waltham schools to my home which is incorrect since I don't live in Waltham.  This is very frustrating when looking at other properties knowing the schools are not accurate.

You need a Buyer's Agent to help you when you're ready.  They have a wealth of information (accurate and up to date) and the experience.  They will work for YOU, not the seller.  It will cost you nothing, the buyers' agent pay still comes fromt the seller's commission, but they are allowed by law to represent you.  (pls click the thumbs-up icon if this answer was helpful to any reader).

When you are serious about buying in a particular area, contact a professional Agent/Broker to guide you.

The active agents know what is happenning with the schools/towns, and will be your best resource.
Zillow is "fun" but not often accurate. Don't rely on Zillow zestimates, or featured comps to support or influence your negotiating position. Hire a professional instead. You'll fare better!
