In need of advice or a Pro that has successfully closed a "unique" sale, Fort Worth areaI am in a strange but hopefully not to unique situation. My family is planning a move to Texas in the next couple months. We have a personal situation which has forced us to consider moving so I am being transferred by my company based on my own request, they are seeing what assistance they can provide but I am counting on none. Now for what will make this unique..We do not have the best of credit and would be looking at an FHA loan with minimal down payment and closing costs. With that said our plan was to move and rent, probably at a monthly rate at a motel but we would also be needing 2 rooms. We are a family of 7 and will have my mother-in-law joining us making 8, meaning we would be looking for a house of 5 beds or more. After further thought we realize this may be a bad choice in the fact that we probably would be unable to afford that for very long. My wife then thought of buying a house from long distance, basically never physically seeing it but using the wonderful world of online information/pictures/video to make an informed purchase from half way across the country(closing after we move probably). We realize this wouldn't be the optimal way to make a home purchase but we also decided if in the end we were unable to live with the purchase we could use it as a rental income after we find what we really want. On a side note we are also open to a home rental but we don't want to be locked in to a year long or more contract, we would also hate to unpack just to move again in a few months once we found something.There are a few more intricacies that make this an even more unique situation but none that cant be dealt with. If anyone could provide some insight or suggestions, we would be much obliged.
