Incorrect Information on home

Hello,
I am selling the property listed at 2511-2515 NE 57th Avenue, Portland, OR 97209.
The info on the site does not reflect conversion of the basement to a 3rd unit. It is now 3033 sq ft, 3 bathrooms, 3 kitchens, 3 living rooms, and 6 bedrooms. What needs to be done so that this can be corrected? It is properly permitted for up to 4 units.

Hi Tiffany-

We get the home information from the public records in each county. It is collected and sent to us by data providers who regularly update their information.

I checked the county and verified that they have the same data we have on the website. To see the information, here is the link to the Multnomah county assessor's website: http://www.portlandmaps.com/detail.cfm?action=assessor&&propertyid=R319210&y=690332&x=7662857&state_id=1N2E30DB%20%20100

You may contact the county to permanently correct the home information. Please note that it will take some time for the data to make its way to Zillow since we update address information by batches and not by individual address. The edited home facts on Zillow serves as a tool for homeowners/agents to show the updated home information while waiting for the correct data to be reflected on the website.

Thanks for your patience.

tiffany.rance-

Hi! Thank you for claiming your home and updating the public facts. We don't overwrite the public facts with owner inputted facts, but do publish the owner facts right next to the public facts for everyone to see.

The only way to change the actual public facts is to get them changed at the county assessor's office. If you get them updated at your county office, the new facts will be sent to us next time our data provider in your area sends us the updated tax assessment information. Please note that assessments are often only re-calculated once a year, so data updates to the property records happen infrequently.

Most realtor's realize that public facts are not always correct and your updated owner facts can be seen from your home details page under the "Edited Facts" section.

Ok I can appreciate that, however, I think most realtor's would also recognize that adding an additional unit affects the price much more than a remodel. T

here is no option for me to add such changes on zillow. Is there any way you can plug the changes into the system from your end so I can get an accurate zestimate? This is just fmi. Many potential buyers consider zillow somewhat of a definitive source of appraisal information, in this case, zillow and a year old appraisal differ by over a hundred thousand dollars.

Basically the basement was converted to 3rd unit, new bathroom, kitchen, living room and 2 bedrooms an additional 1,000 sq ft. It is permitted for up to 4 units. Thank you for your time.

Hi Tiffany-

The only thing that changes the Zestimate value is a change in the base data, including nearby sales. Once the new information is updated from the county, our data providers will collect the data to be uploaded on the website.

I do apologize but we cannot manually update the information to get the new Zestimate for the home. The only way for the system to reflect a new Zestimate is after the data update.

Additionally, please be informed that the Zestimate is just a starting point in figuring out the true value of a house. It is not an appraisal and you won’t be able to use it in place of an appraisal, though you can certainly share it with real estate professionals.

Your account shows that you created your own estimate for the house as its listing agent. The homeowner may also create his estimate by registering and claiming the home on the website. Once the home was claimed, just click on the "create an estimate" link to show the true value of the house.

Hi Tiffany at Zillow.com

Can't understand why my property at 3370 NE 190th St., Apt. Tower Suite 3811 is priced lower than my neighbours apartment no. 3711 at the same address. My unit is 3320 sq ft with a rooftop terrace (entertainment area) of nearly 1500 sq ft with gardens & waterfalls !! My neighbours apartment is 1 story on 2720 sq ft below me and Zillow has estimated the price to be over $200K-250K higher than mine.

My unit is 1) Larger by 600 sq ft. 2) Has a roof top terrace of 1500 sq ft 3) 2 Story Tower Suite with all new bathrooms, kitchen, hardware, appliances (Sub Zero, Wolf, Asea Skandia, Gaggenau) crown moldings, baseboard, solid hand carved doors, etc.... Spent over $500,000 in decorator finishes !!!

There must be some error where you are getting the information but I can assure you that my 2 story Tower Suite is second to none in this building (Hidden Bay).
