Incorrect Public Record

It appears to me the public records of my house and next door neighbor's are somehow mixed up. My house is actually about 3500 sq ft and theirs is 3184 sq ft, but the public records show reverse. Should I correct it and how?

To correct your homes records, you could appeal to the county assessor at
http://arcc.co.san-diego.ca.us/arcc/locs.aspx
However, beware that increasing your living space by 10% will trigger a reassessment of the value of your home and a corresponding increase in your property taxes. For more details, I suggest you contact a real estate professional, l ike me, to protect your interests.
