As the owner, you can claim your house and update the square footage. You can claim your home by going to your home page and clicking the blue "edit" link under the main house photo to "claim your home". Once you do that, you will have another option open up in the same edit menu to "update home facts".
The change to the facts is immediate, but it will take time for the facts to work their way into the larger Zestimate numbers often a few weeks to a couple months to show up completely from what I read.
If you are going to put the house on the market soon, I would do the edits now so they have a chance to work their way in. Hope it helps.
