Yeah I wondered about that too. Their model is set up to sell TONS of houses in one sitting.

You might want to try some local auction houses that specialize in selling real estate. Up here in Minnesota it's a common practice to sell real estate at auction but only in the rural areas.

Auction . com  wont take normal houses,  they  only want Business or Luxury,   If you are a bank with 25 or more parcels, they  will talk to you.
Not for the average man.

Are they any good for buying a home?  Yes. They're probably the largest auction liquidator of homes in the USA.

BUT

You need to read ALL of material provided either prior to an on site or internet auction. They have very specific rules which have to be followed AND you will owe them 5 percent of the purchase price.

Also many of the homes they sell have a reserve price. So don't assume that a house that's listed for $10,000 will sell for $10,000 even if you're the only bidder.

Most of the homes they auction are homes that have previously been listed as bank owned homes and this is a way for banks to dump less desirable properties that have lingered too long on market. So you won't be getting the cream of the crop.
