You get more for your money with FTH because they are a smaller company with the owner that is hands on.  I have only had good experiences with them and I've sold dozens of their homes in the last couple of years. They use top appliances, like GE Profile or Whirlpool although, I have a huge issue with their small stoves (LOL).  They have very energy efficient homes too.

They also have the same floorplans over and over, they are great as far as space, big bedrooms, nice layout but you can easily run into 5-7 of that one floorplan on the same street.  They could use a move diverse portfolio.

Thanks for your responses. I do agree to the fact that Highland homes are better. They are rated top of the JD Power ratings. I am looking for house in the Stonelakes Estate built by FTH. I do have Highland and American Legend in mind for their up coming community in Arbors at Willow Bay. Both are in Frisco city and FISD.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I think Highland is a better builder also.  You will notice the"standard" fetures and attention to detail in their homes.  For comparison sake, I think you would get about the same product with all builders.  It all depends on some "must have" features you think are important in your home.

I would not say they are any "better" or "worse" than others you have mentioned.

They are much much better than Grand and comparable to Landon and AL.  Highland Homes are much superior and you will notice that in their prices as well.  They usually have the same square footage than First Texas with at least 120K or more.

Which neighborhood of Frisco are you considering?  Traditions (Only Grand and FTH are here)? Stonelake?
