Hello,
Summer is definitely the best time to sell a home with a pool.  If it is an inground pool make sure it is landscaped and the water is sparkling. It is best to have the pump running for showings. This lets prospective byers see movement and makes the pool more appealing.  If your pool is above ground you can offer perspective buyers you will remove it if they desire.
Some features of a home such as a pool will not give you a return on money spent. Just remember you enjoyed. Pools can be like vacations money spent for a good time and now it is a memory.
Best of luck!

In the mid-west, Pools can create challenges when trying to sell your home... but still is a feature of the home that can and should be played up. Just realize that not everyone wants one.  I think its best to sell during the summer, when the pool can be seen as fully operational and when more buyers are looking and perhaps swayed by a pool. Buyers will also want the pool inspected, which is difficult to do when it is winterized... In this case, you may want to provide a home warranty that has additional pool coverage.

Good Luck on the sale of your home!

Obviously the highest demand for a pool house is in the summer but even here in sunny So Cal  most homes do not sell BECAUSE of a pool solely, they sell because they have a pool and its the house that fits the buyers needs.

Optimize your home- and pool - and sell during the selling season, whatever that might be for your area, usually spring to summer. Good luck
